Codice Wine Bottle

Estudio Maba

Packaging Design Codice Wine Bottle by Estudio Maba Codice is a packaging design for a wine bottle, inspired by medieval codices. Codices were handwritten books made before the invention of the printing press, in which the capital letters became works of art. The label is produced on paper with reliefs and stamping and is applied to a Bordeaux bottle. A sheet of sealed vegetal paper wraps the bottle and carries illustrations of the symbols of the winery. The paper is closed with sealing wax at the top, so the content is revealed only when the wrapper is opened.
