The tiered base includes secure slots that keep the pencils arranged and easy to reach. Cushioning foam inside the lid protects the pencil tips. Indentations on the lid serve as a phone stand or as a temporary rest for pencils in use. A sharpener is placed on the back, and horizontal locking slots hold the lid firmly to the base. The graphics pair Jingdezhen porcelain flower patterns for the 24 solar terms with abstract geometric shapes and soft color palettes.
